From July 1943 onwards, Bobigny station became the departure point for Jews deported from France. Until August 1944, 22,500 men, women, and children were transported in 21 convoys, primarily to Auschwitz. The station has remained close to its 1940s configuration. 

Bobigny station bears witness to the administrative and logistical organization of the deportation convoys of Jews from France. A permanent exhibition introduces this organization together with accounts of deportees’ journeys to Auschwitz. Memorial steles for each convoy from France, with information on their composition, the fate of the deportees upon arrival, and the number of survivors, help to better understand deportation policies. Temporary exhibitions and artistic initiatives highlight specific fates of deportees.
