Activities

European Sites of Holocaust Memory (ESHEM) is a network dedicated to safeguarding the historical sites of the Holocaust and strengthening their role in research, education, and commemoration.

Our key focus activities

Officially launched in January 2026, ESHEM initially focuses on opening the call for membership and inviting eligible Holocaust sites across Europe to apply to join the network.

Once the first members are chosen, ESHEM will develop a programme of activities designed to strengthen connections between sites, support knowledge exchange, and promote good practices in Holocaust remembrance. These will include a conference in 2026 for ESHEM members, capacity-building workshops, and other opportunities for collaboration.

Information about upcoming events and initiatives will be shared here as the network grows. In the meantime, you can sign up for our quarterly newsletter, "Imprints". The first issue will be published at the end of January 2026.
